The wind going through her hair was completely amazing, as she couldn’t help but laugh. But then, the girl stopped before she touched the ground. Almost afraid that the green stuff on the ground was going to attack her. It was quite frightening, yet exciting before she slowly put a bare foot on the grass.
It felt quite cool. Rapunzel couldn’t believe how it felt. It felt so nice. It wasn’t before long that the girl started to run all around the grass before rolling around in it. “Wow! The outside is amazing!”
Rapunzel nodded before making her way over to Merida before hooking up her hair before offering it to her. “Need a way down?”
(Sorry I suck…)
"What do you mean? She was only kidding…she does it all the time." Rapunzel twiddled her fingers before looking back up at Merida. Her mother wasn’t the nicest and her comments hurt at times but that was her mother! She took care of her ever since she was little.
"I want to come back! She’ll be heartbroken if she finds I’m missing…" Rapunzel sighed as Pascal climbed onto the girl’s shoulder and started to speak to her.
"So you agree with Merida? …But I can’t just go away….No Pascal. Noooo. " Rapunzel sighed as she looked up at Merida, obviously not understanding Pascal. "He says I should pack up and never come back…"
"OK!" Rapunzel smiled before she heard her mother call her name.
"Rapunzel! Let down your hair!" The old witch sing songed as she waited for golden locks to tumble down.
"Oh no! You need to hide. Um ok." Rapunzel looked around as pulled Merida to the closet. "Hide here. She’ll only be a few minutes." The girl walked to the window, taking a deep breath as she hooked up her hair and let it fall before she started to pull the woman up.
After coming in, the woman patted Rapunzel’s hair, smiling as she said. “It never ceases to amaze me how you never fail to pull me up day after day.”
"Oh it’s nothing.." Rapunzel smiled before being interrupted.
"Then why does it take so long? I’m just teasing! Stop being so serious!" The older woman squeezed her cheeks before sitting down. "Mother is feeling tired, will you sing for me?"
"Of course mother." Rapunzel smiled as she sat on the stool as the woman brushed her hair as she started to sin her incantation. The magic flowing through her hair through each strand as it made Mother Gothell young once more.
Of course, Mother soon left, paying loving attention to the hair under the guise that it was for Rapunzel.
"Phew…that was close." Rapunzel collapsed ono the chair after letting merida out of the closet
"Since forever, I guess. And no…it makes people young again as well." Rapunzel shrugged before smiling again, wrapping up her hair as she looked at Merida’s. "Your hair is pretty too…it looks like a red sunset. And it’s fwoosh! Like a mane! " Rapunzel smiled once more as she used her hands to express this.
"And yea…that’s why…it’s to keep me safe."
Rapunzel gasped a bit, exclaiming. “That’s not what I meant!” Quickly wrapping a golden strand around her finger. “Please don’t freak out…” Sighing, Rapunzel started to sing.
" Flower, gleam and glow
Let your power shine
Make the clock reverse
Bring back what once was mine”
Her hair started to glow, traveling slowly down from her scalp to the ends of her hair. Swirling around Merida’s finger.
"Heal what has been hurt
Change the fates’ design
Save what has been lost
Bring back what once was mine
Bring back what once was mine”
Rapunzel looked up, slowly unraveling the strand of hair, showing that it was now perfectly healed.
What once was mine
“Yea. Being up here means a lot of free time, so I’ve learned to bake and all.” She smiles, taking the plate and holding it out to the red head. “Here. Take as many as you like!” Green eyes cheery before putting down the plate.
Maybe… She could tell her about her hair. “Can you keep a secret? I mean…never tell ANYONE. Please?”
“Thank ye,” Merida said gratefully. Taking a cookie, she bite into the chocolate filled goodness. “These are great! Good things for th’ ye’ve had so much time tae practice then.”
Merida could never have the patience to learn anything in the kitchen. Or anything requiring to stay indoors, actually. She guessed it was useful to learn all sorts of things, but Merida still felt unsettled that Rapunzel has never been outside in her life.
When Rapunzel began to ask hesitantly whether she could keep a secret, Merida set aside the snack, and nodded gravelly. The girl never seemed like one to talk to seriously unless it was really important.
“Ah’m all ears, lass.”
Rapunzel took a deep breath, a nervous smile on her face as she held up her hands.”I have…please don’t freak out….” Taking another breath, the blonde haired girl blurted out. “Magic hair that glows when I sing! ” Her eyes squeezed tightly as she lifted her hair to show a little brown piece of hair.
"When it’s cut, it loses it’s powers and turns brown. It doesn’t just glow…it heals….and makes people young again…That’s why mother is protecting me…keeping me here…a gift like this has to be protected…" A sad look was on her face, before taking a cookie and nibbling on it.
"I can show you how it works, do you have a recent cut or scrap?" Rapunzel asked warily, before a soft smile returned to her face.
